I've received news of someone having to go through life dangering operations, to get better, clinging tightly onto hope and prayers. And I've also received news of someone, younger than I am, who just decided life wasn't worth going through anymore, leaving behind heartbroken family and friends and a whole lot of questions. 

Both are sad news. The only difference is that the first had hope. Hope in getting better, hope in life. And it's also sad to know how little one can value his/her own life and the people in his/her life. 

Really I never thought I'll be affected by the news, but I guess the level of mixed emotions I've felt about it has left me in tears as I type the post. 

I just hope that no one in this world has to ever feel so lonely and dejected that they fail to see that life in itself is a gift, a beautiful gift given to us, that they're surrounded by people who loves and care for them, and that they're precious and valuable.
