something blog-worthy

a few days ago i saw an act of kindness that made me smile. (and also made me feel a little guilty)
a young man approached a lady who was blind and offerred to walk her out of the train station.
he probably was going or rushing to school/work, but he saw a need, and met the need with a simple yet meaningful gesture.

i was sure the lady would have been able to cope, after all she's been at this routine for so long. i was sure the staff at the station would have offerred help if she needed. i was, also sure that if i helped the lady, i would have been late for work. so i missed the opportunity to meet the need, missed the chance to make a difference and missed the chance to brighten someone's day.

'helping is not difficult,
but helping out of our inconvenience is.'

i hope that when we look at our inconvenience and the opportunity to bless, we can see which far outweighs the other. (: bless, and be blessed.
