had a birthday party yesterday and realised how happy i was compared to the previous party.
really pleasant children, that were fun yet well-behaved!
played pictionary with the kids before doing art,
albert and jake came up to have a go!
since they were older children, i told them to draw a SQUIRREL.
hahahahaha, you should have seen albert's face, when he heard me say squirrel.
(he is super animated, so imagine with me) he gasped and said "i cant draw that, no no, im not sucha good artist!' and when he started drawing, he kept telling me, 'noo, i told you i cant drawww thattt'
hahahah, super amusing! really made me laugh and i really had a lot of fun!
talking about children saying funny things,
jamie had to teach quite a number of them that a starfruit is called star-fruit and not just star.
but she also had to teach one, that a starfruit is called star-fruit and not star-fish.
was with weilin on thursday,
we reversed our eating routine and had dessert first!
WE FINALLY GOT TO FULFILL OUR ISLAND CREAMERY ICE CREAM TRIP! :D
had mudpie ICECREAM, with horlicks icecream on the side. supersweet!
thank you dear for coming alll the wayyyyy downnn (:
then we went to eat our dinner,
weilin's recommended $3 ban mian! ZHI DE! :D
and after that cause we felt so full and so fat, and super guilty that one of our new resolutions was to lose weight, which means not to eat as much as we did.
we decided to walk to dover mrt station (believe me, from where we were, it is not too far, but it definitely is not very near at all!)
love these long walks, cool breeze blowing in your face, long walks burn fats, and of course enjoying the company of a very very very good friend <3
we got onto the train,
and, guess who we met! (:
HUANG PING CHUN CAME TO SINGAPORE TO WORK!
call ourselves taiwan long juan feng fans, me and weilin recognised him almost immediately!
im sorry pingchun shushu, for invading your privacy, but omg, you're really here! (hahaha)

glad we got to meet up after such a loonnng time,
ever since redang april 2010 okay!
everyone's been busy busy busy.
but nic is always someone i can talk, laugh, and connect with, even after such a long time of not seeing or hearing from each other. <3
she's always going on about how different it would be if I stayed in sr.
sometimes, making me wonder how different my life would have been too.
"people who dont know you, and just see you,
would just think that you're a baby that is for adoption"
"you're one kind lor. sweet, marry-able ... super funny voice. one kind right?"
as irritating as it gets, i really enjoyed her company. (:
thank you dear, imy already! meet up more okay! love you!
i was screammiinnnnng in my heart the loudest and happiest 'yesssssssssss! :D' when my boss told me we didnt have to come in on CNY day 3 and 4! though i only said an 'oh, okay.'
cause that means one day more in the place i love most and miss most!
Had a fun time talking to Reyes (my boss's son) just now,
like Charmaine says, he's really a darling.
Super cheerful, really outgoing, all smiley, a little cheeky and sweet! :D
Reyes: "Smart dogs are better than man."
Me: (wondering what smart dogs are) "Huh? Why are dogs better than man?"
Reyes: "Because man say naughty things, dogs never."
Me: (still wondering what smart dogs are) "ohhhh. what kind of naughty things?"
Reyes: "like stupid all that."
dont know how in the world we got to this part of the conversation,
but its really funny hearing it from a child.
so, humans, before we each open our mouths to say something, if its going to be mean, or what Reyes calls naughty things, think again, you dont want to be compared to a dog right? even if it is a smart dog (:
'Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews. Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colomnades. Here a great number of disabled people used to lie- the bling, the lame, the paralyzed. Oe who was there had been an invalid for thrity eight years. When Jesus saw him lyint there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?"
"Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred, while im trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me." Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." At once the man was cured, he picked up his mat and walked.' John 5:1-9
From the bible, i've always looked at and marvelled at God's miracles, in this case his healing power. But in Max Lucado's book, Cast of Character, I was led to look at the man who was paralyzed for the past 38 years of his life.
When Jesus told him to get up, pick his mat up and walk. He did not doubt and he stood up, pick up his mat and was healed! I wish I could do that, I wish I could always take Jesus at his word, with faith and trust. Because when Jesus says something, it happens. What are we paralyzed by that causes us not to be able to do what God says. Why are we at times, unwilling to be healed. And although Jesus said, "Get up!", we stubbornly refuse his healing.
When Jesus tells us to stand, let's stand.
When He says we're forgiven, let's unload the guilt.
When He says we're valuable, let's believe him.
When he says we're eternal, let's bury our fear.
When he says we're provided for, let's stop worrying.
When he says, "Stand up," lets do it.
good samaritan home, i find, is the best defintion of a family.
i always talk about them, so here's a little introduction of these amazing and wonderful children. <3
John- his beautiful smile will melt your heart. hmmm, a little manja, but you always find it hard to resist him. loves sweet treats but yet always ready to share them, a big heart you'll be able to find.
Joy- strong headed, a little stubborn, but independent as a little girl. like her brother, her smile brightens your day. she says the cutest things in the cutest ways. 'Who's in the bag?' I asked. 'Bad fella' she replied and chuckled.
Timothy- manja king, stubborn, wants and most often gets his way. his intelligence amazes me when he followed william's dance steps almost immediately after watching it.
Debbie- friendly and looks incredibly sweet when she smiles.
Rianna- they call her rihanna! who knows, she might be the next rockstar! always posing for pictures, kissing the camera. bubbly and active little girl!
Eugene- super talkative, makes you laugh all the time. 'I no cry, i not scared pain, because im big boy now' we know eugene cant wait to grow up to be like the bigger korkor and jiejie!
Lilian- lilian takes super long to eat during meal times, a little crying here and there, but always finishes it. (I wouldnt have been able to do that when i was a kid! they eat a lot!) she secretly loves to take photos, i mean, be in the photo!
Hannah- hannah montana, the little monster. she's the sweetest, though she doesnt say it. she loves you, though she doesnt express it. 'give you!' she said as she popped a sweet into my mouth, as though she knew i was sad that i was leaving klang. her little actions, speak more than words.
Angel- our big sister out of the lot! She would scream into the babies room 'eh-vry-baldie come and eat' when its meal time or help put on clothes for the little ones. independent and very dependable!
Bryan- muscle-man as shamu would call him! really strong for a 5 year old boy! (woops, 6 this year!) he's cheeky, naughty, but still really sweet. i recall playing the scissors paper stone, you-lose-means-i-get-to-hit-you-game with him, and being the sweet boy he is, he gently pat me on my hands when i lost! full of energy, really spreading his energy to the ones around him!
Chris- bryan's older brother! he's a manja thing, cause he comes snuggling up to you when you're resting on the sofa to get you to read to him. you see so much in him that wants to learn, read better, talk better. cause chris would always insist that you read one line, and he reads the other.
Michelle- our jeremy korkor fan club! she's grown a lot since i've first known her. from a little princess to taking up the big sister role as well towards the younger children.
Samuel- sam's always in a daze? haha, he's in a world of his own, but cute and interesting that way. will never forget his classic look when he sings christmas carols!
James- really active and requires lots of attention. sometimes needing to learn things the hard way. but the joy he expresses when he receives the attention of for that matter the christmas gift we gave, makes you smile along too.
Thomas- amazing artist, and incredible at things even like handicraft! something i found difficult to do, he was able to complete, without anyone teaching him how to. he'll grow up to be someone special, i always believed so.
Jackson- im always reminding him not to take so much sweet stuff cause they're not too good for his teeth, and i think he remembers. he's a really sweet boy, very obedient and very loving. intelligent boy doing incredibly well in school, keep it up jackson!
Jay- the oldest, out of the family, john, joy, jackson and him. will alwys see him holding on to his little brother, or sister and making sure they're feeling alright. really responsible and very loving. Jay, we call him jie lun, is humourous by nature, tries his best at everything, loves his family (now a bigger one) and has a really soft heart.
Philip- super intelligent, bright and quickwitted! knew that since the first time i met him. he's grown a lot, from an arrogant boy to one who gives you hugs when you leave. 'One last hug' he told me, when i was about to leave. that, melted my heart.
Jonathan- he's the dance 'diva' hahaha! :D i asked what he wanted to be in the future, 'maybe vet? or maybe sing or act!' he's hot, and he'll be the next big thing! cant wait to see him maybe on television one day!
William- he's is a darling, ever since my first trip six years ago. what touched my heart was he always did remember who i was till, i went to the home again 2 or 3 years ago. somehow, everyone who has been to klang, knows and still asks about william, i guess he's been the one touching and blessing others (:
Rachel Kee- she's diligent, always helping out around in the home. feeding the kids and helping with household chores. after talking to her on one of the days, ive realised that she can express herself, though with a little more effort and takes a little longer, she enjoys talking.
Mary- 'i want nobody nobody but you!' not many can dance this dance that well, she's one of them! very talented and also very matured for her age. she's always taking care of the younger children, very motherly for a young girl like her!
Rachel Ng- my little sister, 10 years apart. she loves to tie my hair, and i love to let her tie my hair, though she always uses strength she could use to drag a cow across the field to tie my hair. she cries easily, but also smiles a lot. she's the kind who would give you something but not tell you she was the one who gave it to you. i dont know how to tell you guys, how much i love her (: she's really a darling.
Peggy- the big sister in the home, always cool and calm but stern when it comes to teaching and disciplining the younger children. she reads a lot, more than ive read in my entire life. she's an amazing and beautiful young lady.
Eunice- the other big sister in the home. Over the years, she's grown to have so many brothers and sisters to share the love of her parents. though she doesnt express it, she's always looking out and always loving the ones around her.
Jeremy- when you see him hold the children in his arms or when he talks to them, you know what love is. most genuine and always matured and responsible.
