just started reading a book titled 'hector's search for happiness'

Lesson 8: Happiness is being around the people you love.

here's a little excerpt from the book
'Hector was once again on the plane.. sitting next to him was a mother holding her baby- no it couldnt have been her baby because it had fair hair and blue eyes, and the lady looked like an Asian woman. The baby had been looking at him for awhile, and stretching its arms towards him. This made the nanny laugh and the baby as well. So hector smiled at them and felt a little less sad. Suddenly, a tall blonde lady came up and stood in the aisle near them. Hector understood that this was the mother, who was no doubt travelling with her husband on business class. 'Is everything alright?' she asked the nanny. And then she left again. And the baby's face crumpled and it began screaming.'

Lesson 8b: Unhappiness is being separated from the people you love.

this two sentences seemingly appear to have the same meaning,
but dont you think they mean entirely different things and have different emotions attached to it?
