klang <3

its been a week since ive left klang.
and ever since, ive not stopped thinking of them, missing them. (:

This trip is one of my most fruitful trips so far.
Spent a lot of time with the children, not just in the home, had the chance to watch karate kid with them, and even went to i city (their famous city of lights)!
Of course, we also had scrumptious lunches, dinners and suppers of bahkutteh, seafood and their mamak stalls!
there were several interesting encounters like jeremy losing his wallet and us having to runnnnn all the way back from the carpark to baskin robbins in sunway pyramid! oh and counting the number of rats that were scurrying out from behing the fridge and cupboard. and when jeremy didnt want to help me with the humongous roti tissue i was having. shopping around in jusco and taking photos with sunglasses were fun too. also when jeremy caused the electricity to trip in church when he tried to on the aircon. and definitely having lunch with so many children in macdonalds! (i'd say ALL CHILDREN LOVES MACDONALDS!)

every time i visit the home, i come back humbled.
this time i come back to Singapore, knowing the importance of thankfulness. ive learnt so much from their maturity, their love for others, their genuine spirit.
My heart goes out to them and i really wish i could do more for these beautiful children. I pray for God's abundant love and joy to overflow in each and every one of their hearts. <3

Isaiah 43:18-19

"Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."

I knew God was speaking to my heart through this passage.
We should refuse to be prisoners of a negative past. To forget failures, disappointments, guilt, rejection, shame, hurts and betrayal. God is calling us to a new level of faith. A heart that is hardened by a negative past, does not see and understand spiritually.

God will only be able to heal, to the extent we are willing to be healed.
So today i'd say, "yes God, come heal me, come restore me, come renew me."
